Empowerment begins with practical knowledge and In 2018, AWBT carried out her first skill acquisition program which was aimed at helping women from South-eastern Nigeria learn practical vocational skills like bag making and gele tying. This provided them with income-generating skills, technical craftsmanship and foundational lessons in marketing and product pricing. At the end of the program, we provided the attendees with a capital of ₦70,000 to support their fashion businesses.
In 2019, we organized a soap making skill acquisition program to equip women with hands-on training in the production of liquid and solid soaps as well as other forms of cleaning equipments. Through hands-on training, participants learnt the necessary processes involved in the production of quality soap for personal use and small-scale trade. This enabled the women to start up small businesses even from the comfort of their homes while also generating stable income and contributing to the economic development of their communities.
Celebrating academic efforts builds lasting confidence in children and AWBT supports the motion. In 2025, we sponsored the end of year party for students at Osusu community secondary school, Aba. It was a day filled with games, food and festive rewards. This initiative highlights our ongoing commitment to supporting local schools and uplifting the wellbeing of children in and out of the classroom.
Amidst the harsh economic crisis in Nigeria, we distributed food relief items like bags of rice, cans of groundnut oil and tomato pastes to families who needed them the most in early 2026. This initiative highlights our dedication to tackling the lack of basic necessities while building stronger communities.
We believe education is the most powerful tool for long term transformation so in 2026, we decided to support the four(4) best performing students in public tertiary institutions across the country from Ubaha Nsulu, Abia state. We provided each of them with a sum of ₦250,000 to cover their tuition fees as well as their basic needs. This initiative is aimed at reducing the financial stress while simultaneously boosting their confidence by letting them know that good grades pay. Also, books and pens were distributed to students in primary and secondary levels within the community to cultivate the culture of taking notes and learning. By investing in education at every level of academic journey, we are opening doors to brighter futures and inspiring the future generations to excel.
